According to Reuters, Thyssenkrupp chief executive Heinrich Hiesinger has confirmed plans to sell its Italian stainless steel plant, Acciai Speciali Terni (AST), which has been part of the Germany-based steel group since 2001, as reported by Reuters. AST is the group's only asset currently up for sale.
Mr. Hiesinger made the comments on the sidelines of the announcement of Thyssenkrupp's full-year results without specifying whether an official sales process has been launched.
