Thai government approves measures to develop road infrastructure

The Thai government has approved measures to develop road infrastructure and facilities for road transportation in a bid to increase logistics efficiency. Thailand is also expecting to become a center for road transportation in the region, the Bangkok Post reports.

The projects in question include the development of information technology to increase efficiency of road transportation, and facilities for truck transportation near borders such as oil stations, and maintenance centers.

Meanwhile, the government will train 15,000 truck drivers a year up to 2015.
