Ternium sees Mexican revenues increase in Q3

Ternium saw its net revenues increase for both its Mexican and Southern Region segments in Q3, the company said this week while releasing its quarterly results. The Southern Region segment includes operations in Argentina, Paraguay, Chile, Bolivia and Uruguay, while the Other Markets segment includes businesses mainly in United States, Colombia, Guatemala, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Honduras.

The steelmaker said net revenues in Mexico in Q3 rose 15 percent year-on-year to $1.3 billion, while net revenues in the Southern Region increased 37 percent year-on-year to $618.8 million.

Steel sales volumes in Q3 totaled 1.6 million mt in Mexico, up 6 percent year-on-year. Steel sales volumes in the Southern Region totaled 663,300 mt in Q3, up 24 percent year-on-year.

As for the Other Markets segments, revenues in Q3 soared 118 percent, year-on-year, to $495.4 million.
