Ternium Mexico said two of its Mexican units, including a mill and an industrial service center, have received the ISO 14001:2004 certification.

The company’s Universidad mill along with its San Luis Potosi Industrial Service Center have received the certification, which specifies requirements for an environmental management system. The certification was awarded by Bureau Veritas Argentina.

According to a Ternium Mexico executive, receiving the ISO 14001:2014 certification is a step forward to help the local steelmaker certify “all its mills” in Mexico.
