Techint acquires Hylsamex; announces new company
Techint today announced it intends to consolidate its acquisitions of Mexican flat and long steel producer Hylsamex S.A. de C.V., Venezuelan steel producer, Sidor, and Argentinian flat steel producer Siderar. The new company, Newco, will be the leading regional steel producer in Latin America and a substantial exporter. For the agreement to become official it must first find the approval of Mexican authorities.
