TCUD: Turkey’s steel export volume up 19.2 percent in January-November

In the first eleven months of last year, Turkey's steel exports increased by 19.2 percent year on year to 19.9 million mt, while the value of these exports moved up by 33 percent year on year to $16 billion, according to the data released by the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).

In the given period, Turkey's long steel exports rose by 14 percent to 9.7 million mt, while its flat steel exports increased by 40 percent to 5.4 million mt, both on year-on-year basis. In the January-November period, the country’s semi-finished steel exports rose by 23.1 percent to 951,000 mt, year on year. On the other hand, pipe exports increased by 8.4 percent to 1.8 million mt during the eleven-month period.

In November last year, Turkey's steel exports increased by 45 percent to 2.5 million mt, with a value of $1.9 billion, up 40.2 percent, both year on year.

In the given month, Turkey's flat steel exports surged by 134.1 percent year on year to 765,000 mt, while its long steel product exports rose by 1.8 percent year on year to one million mt. In the month in question, the country’s semi-finished steel exports were up by 481.1 percent to 277,000 mt.
