TCUD: Turkey’s steel export volume up 16.4 percent in Jan-Oct

In the first ten months of the current year, Turkey's steel exports increased by 16.4 percent year on year to 17.4 million mt, while the value of these exports moved up by 32.2 percent year on year to $14.2 billion, according to the data released by the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).

In the given period, Turkey's long steel exports rose by 15.2 percent to 8.6 million mt, while its flat steel exports increased by 31.4 percent to 4.6 million mt, both on year-on-year basis. In the January-October period, the country’s semi-finished steel exports declined by seven percent to 674,000 mt, year on year.

In October this year, Turkey's steel exports increased by 61 percent to 2.3 million mt, with a value of $1.7 billion, up 51.2 percent, both year on year.

In the given month, Turkey's flat steel exports surged by 75.3 percent year on year to 497,000 mt, while its long steel product exports rose by 65 percent year on year to 1.2 million mt. In the given month, the country’s semi-finished steel exports were up by 138 percent to 147,000 mt, year on year.
