Tata Steel supplies reinforcing bar to India’s railroad bridge

India-headquartered steel giant Tata Steel has announced that it has supplied 15,000 mtof Tata Tiscon rebars for the construction of Bogibeel railroad bridge, India’s only bridge that has fully welded steel-concrete composite girders.

Out of the total rebars used in the construction of the railroad bridge, 75 percent has been supplied by Tata Steel.

Tata Steel’s customised length rebars will help minimise the steel wastage. Tata Tiscon Super Ductile (SD) rebar, used in the construction of the bridge is specially designed for construction in seismic prone zones.
