TATA Ryerson to build three steel service plants

TATA Ryerson Limited (TRL), a 50-50 joint venture between TATA Steel and US-based Ryerson Inc., has announced plans to invest Rupees 1 billion (approx. $22 million) in building three steel service plants in Pune, Chennai and Pantnagar over the next eighteen months. The plants will be designed to have a rated capacity of 2 million mts. TRL is also planning to enter into the stainless steel service business, sources report.
