The relevant departments in the city of Tangshan, a major steel hub in China, have divided local category C steel enterprises into categories C1, C2 and C3. There will be nine C1, sixteen C2 and five C3 steel enterprises, which will reduce production capacity by 20-55 percent during the autumn-winter season, with the anticipated size of the production restrictions not being lower than in the previous year, though the exact size of the output reductions will depend on the formal documents sent to the steelmakers later.
