The municipal government of Tangshan in China’s Hebei Province has issued a notice on resumption of steel production for steel enterprises which suspended or cut their production during the winter season, stating that those steel enterprises whose air pollutant emissions are in line with the accepted standard after inspection can resume production, while those which fell short of the output reduction targets during the winter season will have to continue their production cuts after the winter season is over until they meet the production cut targets. However, those steel enterprises whose air pollutant emissions fail to reach accepted standards during inspections will have to continue their winter production cuts into the spring and summer seasons.
