Tangshan imposes level 2 emergency air pollution measures

The municipal government of Tangshan in China’s Hebei Province has announced that, due to anticipated increases in air pollution, it has decided to implement level 2 heavy pollution weather emergency response measures effective from 18:00 on March 16 until 12:00 on March 20.

In particular, coking plants are required to extend coke carbonization periods to at least 28 hours, which will have the result of reducing coke output.
