The municipal government of Tangshan in China’s Hebei Province has issued another round of emergency emissions reduction measures effective from 12:00 p.m. on July 27 to 24:00 on July 31, aimed at tackling air pollution. The move follows previous emergency measures which had ended on July 18.

The emergency emissions reduction measures include halting of production at sintering machines and shaft furnaces in the whole city, though excluding those sintering machines whose discharges meet the required standard.

Furthermore, lime kilns and foundry enterprises will halt production completely during the given period, while rolling mills will implement dust pollution control.
