The municipal government of Tangshan in China’s Hebei Province has issued another round of emergency emissions reduction measures effective from 12:00 p.m. on July 13 to 12:00 p.m. on July 18, aimed at tackling air pollution. The move follows previous emergency measures which had ended on June 7.
The emergency emissions reduction measures include halting of production at sintering machines and shaft furnaces in the Lunan, Lubei, Kaiping, Guye, Fengrun, Zunhua, Yutian, Leting, Luannan and Fengnan districts and in Luan county. Meanwhile, transport vehicles are not allowed to enter or leave factory areas in the steel, coking, electric power, chemical, cement and coal mining industries during the period in question. Furthermore, lime kilns, foundry enterprises and rolling mills will halt production completely during the given period.
