Taiwan's iron and steel export value down 9.7 percent in Jan-Oct

In October this year, the value of Taiwan's iron and steel exports increased by 19.4 percent year on year to $1.36 billion, according to the preliminary statistics issued by Taiwan's Ministry of Finance. In the given month, the country's iron and steel import value totaled $687 million, up 20.4 percent year on year. 
 
In the first ten months of the current year, the value of Taiwan's iron and steel exports declined 9.7 percent to $11.79 billion, while the value of the country's imports of iron and steel totaled $6.37 billion, decreasing by 16.3 percent, both on year-on year basis.
