Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in March this year its carbon steel sales volume amounted to 798,255 metric tons, accounting for 65 percent of domestic sales. In the first three months of the current year, the company sold 2.5 million mt of carbon steel, accounting for 66 percent of domestic sales.
In March, CSC's operating revenues amounted to NTD 31.24 billion ($1.04 billion), up 26 percent month on month. In the first quarter, the operating revenues of the company totaled NTD 88.46 billion ($2.97 billion). In March, the company registered earnings before tax of NTD 2.75 billion ($92.1 million), increasing by 86 percent compared to February.
