Taiwan's industrial production index in November this year increased by 1.8 percent compared to October and was up 8.8 percent year on year, according to the country's Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA). Meanwhile, Taiwan's seasonally adjusted industrial production index in November increased 2.1 percent compared to the previous month, while rising by 7.1 percent year on year.
In the January-November period of this year, Taiwan's seasonally adjusted industrial production index increased by 0.8 percent year on year.
In November this year, industrial output in the country's basic metal manufacturing sector fell by two percent and output of metal product manufacturing saw an increase of 4.3 percent, both compared to the previous month. In addition, on year-on-year basis, in November this year output of the basic metal manufacturing sector grew by 17.6 percent and the metal product manufacturing sector saw an increase of 11.4 percent in output.
Meanwhile, in November this year, production in Taiwan's machinery and equipment industry rose by 5.2 percent, while output in the automotive industry was up by 2.7 percent, both year on year.
