According to the statistics released by the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs, in March this year Taiwan's basic metal and basic metal product export orders amounted to $2.78 billion, up 16.6 percent compared to March 2017 and rising by 28.9 percent compared to the previous month.
In the first quarter, the country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders rose by 19.8 percent year on year to $7.56 billion.
