Strike Resources to provide update on iron ore JV in Peru

Australia-based resources company Strike Resources Ltd (Strike) announce d that it has requested a trading halt to provide an update regarding its Apurimac iron ore joint venture in Peru until December 31, Monday.

Strike Resources is aiming to establish a 15 million mt per year operation in Peru based on current iron ore resources totaling 374 million mt.

The company can now move to a 100 percent ownership of Apurimac Ferrum, after the joint venture partners failed to purchase all of Strike's shares and repay Strike's loans by November 15, 2012.
