Steelmakers in Qian’an to reduce winter steel output by 5.2501 million mt

According to its production schedule for the coming winter season, i.e., for the period from November 15, 2017 to March 15, 2018, Qian’an district of the key Chinese steelmaking city of Tangshan will reduce its steel production by 5.2501 million mt in the winter season.

Seven steelmakers, including Yanshan Iron and Steel, Xinda Iron and Steel, Songting Iron and Steel, Rongxin Iron and Steel, Qian’an Jiujiang Wire Co., Shougang Qian’an Iron and Steel and Zhayi Iron and Steel will reduction their steel production by 1.2396 million mt, 1.1104 million mt, 0.7816 million mt, 0.7225 million mt, 0.6784 million mt, 0.4219 milion mt and 0.3057 million mt, respectively in the given period, with the production cuts accounting for 48.3 percent, 78.6 percent, 77.7 percent, 76.3 percent, 29.1 percent, 16.5 percent, and 75 percent of their overall respective production capacities.
