Steel product supplies by rail to Russian automakers down 19.7% in Mar

According to figures issued by Russian Railways, in March this year direct deliveries of cast iron, rolled steel, pipes and semi-finished products to locomotive, car repair and car production plants in Russia (including dual-purpose enterprises and Russian Railways structures) totaled 121,000 mt, down 19.7 percent compared to the previous month and decreasing by 8.1 percent year on year.

In the January-March period this year, direct deliveries of cast iron, rolled steel, pipes and semi-finished products to locomotive, car repair and car production plants in Russia reached 340,000 mt, up 0.2 percent year-on-year.
