Steel exports from China’s Hebei Province up 59.7 percent in Jan-Aug

In the January-August period this year, steel exports from China's Hebei Province amounted to a total value of $9.244 billion, up 43.38 percent year on year. In the given period, the volume of steel exports from Hebei Province totaled 15.5031 million mt, increasing by 59.69 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in the January-June period this year the average price of steel exported from Hebei Province was $603.55/mt, down 9.78 percent year on year and $191/mt lower than the average steel export price from China overall in the given period.
