Steel Creek Galvanizing to build $14 million HDG plant in South Carolina

Steel Creek Galvanizing Co LLC, is investing in a new hot dipped galvanizing facility in Blacksburg, South Carolina. According to a company press release, the 82,000-square-foot facility is expected to initially create 72 jobs in the first quarter of 2018 and cost approximately $14 million.

The facility is to be built as an environmentally-friendly, zero-emission operation. The Cherokee County Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits and tax breaks for the project.
