Spain’s PPI rises 4.9% year on year in February

Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE) indicated that the country's producer price index (PPI) rose 0.7% month on month and 4.9% year on year in February 2005. INE added that energy product prices increased 0.9% from January 2005 and 5% from February 2004. Prices of consumer goods prices saw a 3.1% year-on-year gain in February. Meanwhile, capital goods posted an increase of 1.9% year on year.
