Spain’s March CPI on par with expectations

Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE) disclosed that the country's consumer price index (CPI) rose 0.8% month on month and 3.4% year on year in March 2005. Excluding food and energy prices, CPI rose 2.9% year on year. For comparison, February CPI grew 0.3% from January and 3.3% from a year earlier. Spain's annual CPI increase is on par with analysts' expectations.
