South Africa's base metal export value up 4.1 percent in Nov from Oct

According to data released by the South African Revenue Service (SARS), in November of the current year the value of South Africa's exports of base metals and articles thereof totaled ZAR 10.74 billion ($925.8 million), increasing by 4.1 percent from October. In the first 11 months of this year, South Africa's export value of base metals and articles thereof increased by 14.5 percent year on year, reaching ZAR 117.86 billion ($10.16 billion).
 
In November this year, the country's imports of base metals and articles thereof amounted to ZAR 4.2 billion ($362.08 million), down 21.4 percent from October, while in the first 11 months South African imports of base metals and articles thereof decreased by 0.3 percent year on year, amounting to ZAR 46.21 billion ($4 billion).
