South Africa's Competition Commission has granted its approval to the Russian steelmaker Evraz Group's proposed acquisition of Highveld Steel and Vanadium Corp. (Highveld).
Evraz can now proceed with closing the deal to acquire Highveld, having received the green light from both the European Union and South Africa's antitrust authorities.
