Some cities in Hebei to implement anti-smog measures for three days

The cities of Shijiazhuang, Baoding, Hengshui, Xingtai, Handan, Dingzhou and Xinji in China’s Hebei Province have been required to implement level II anti-smog measures for three days starting from 12:00 on December 7 to 12:00 on December 10 due to the expected increase in smog from December 7.

However, steel enterprises who have achieved emission standards and are on the “positive” list will not need to implement production restrictions during the smog alert.

Previously, a number of cities in Hebei, also including eastern cities like Tangshan, Langfang, Cangzhou and QinhuangdaoTangshan, had been required to implement strict emergency response measures (level II) starting from November 20.
