SMS to supply reversing cold mill for Vietnam-based My Viet Industries

Germany-based plantmaker SMS Group has announced that its Indian joint venture company Esmech Equipment Pvt. Ltd will supply a new twin-stand reversing cold mill and a push-pull pickling line to Vietnamese steelmaker My Viet Industries Co., Ltd. The new plants, to be installed at the Pho Noi A Industrial Park location in Hung Yen Province to the south of Hanoi, are scheduled to be put into operation in the fall of this year.

SMS stated that the new twin-stand reversing cold mill will be designed for an annual production capacity of 400,000 mt and it will roll low-carbon steel strip in widths of up to 1,250 mm and minimum final gages down to 0.15 mm.
