Sinosteel MECC to supply equipment for Vale’s new pellet plant

Chinese steelmaking giant Sinosteel has announced that its equipment and engineering subsidiary Sinosteel MECC has received an order from Brazil-based iron ore producer Vale for the supply of a new vacuum pump and a vibrating screen equipment for its new 7.5 million mt pellet plant in Tubarão.

Sinosteel MECC received from Vale the advance payment for the equipment on December 1, 2008, while the effectiveness of the contract begins with today. The financial details have not been disclosed.

Despite of the global financial crisis, Sinosteel MECC says it will make its full endeavor to fulfill the obligation in the contract and satisfy VALE with excellent equipments quality and value-added service.
