Siemens to supply new slitting line for Chinese steelmaker

Austria-based plantmaker Siemens Metals Technologies has announced that it has received an order from Chinese steelmaker Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation, for the supply of a new slitting line.
 
This production line will be installed in an Anshan plant in southern China for cutting high-quality cold strip for the automotive industry. The slitting line is scheduled to be commissioned in the second quarter of 2014.
 
Anshan Iron and Steel is planning to increase its output capacity of automotive steel to fulfill the requirements of the booming automotive industry in China.
