Siemens to supply equipment for HengYuan and Tonghua

Siemens Metals Technologies has announced that it has received orders to supply equipment for the strip processing lines of two steel producers in the northeast of China.

According to the announcement, dynamic air knives will be installed for two hot-galvanizing lines at China's Hebei Province-based Tangshan HengYuan Coating & Galvanizing Co. Ltd, and a new skin pass mill will be installed at Jilin Province-based Tonghua Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. The two projects are planned to be completed in summer 2008.

Tangshan HengYuan has an annual production capacity of around three million metric tons of crude steel. Meanwhile, Tonghua Iron and Steel Group has an annual production capacity of around four million metric tons of crude steel.
