On March 19, Argentina's largest flat rolled steelmaker Siderar announced the postponement of the commissioning of its two-strand continuous slab caster.

Meanwhile, on March 13, due to a technical malfunction, SMS Demag issued an old press release to the effect that Siderar SAIC had awarded SMS Demag a contract for the supply of a two-strand continuous slab caster for its San Nicolás works.

The two-strand slab caster in question had already been supplied by SMS Demag.
