Hebei Province-based Chinese steel producer Shougang Jingtang United Iron & Steel Co (Shougang Jingtang) has announced that its iron making plant has exceeded its pig iron output targets for September and October, following the good performance recorded in August.
In the three months in question, the total pig iron output exceeded the targeted volume by 58,740 mt. Meanwhile, in October alone, Shougang Jingtang's pig iron output reached 651,539 mt, exceeding the output target by 11,539 mt.
In addition, in November up to and including November 13, Shougang Jintang's pig iron output exceeded the target for the period by 14,874 mt.
On November 8, Shougang Jingtang achieved a record daily pig iron output volume of 24,689 mt.
