On April 11, Beijing-based Chinese steel producer Shougang Group announced that in the January-March quarter this year its subsidiary Shougang Cold Rolled Sheet Co., Ltd produced 515,700 mt of cold rolled products, up 39.34 percent compared to 370,100 mt in the same period last year.
In particular, in the first quarter Shougang Cold Rolled Sheet Co. produced 302,300 mt of cold rolled sheet for the automobile sector, accounting for 58.62 percent of its total output in the period in question and up 28.26 percent year on year.
