Shiloh posts second quarter, semiannual results for 2005

Shiloh Industries, Inc. published its results for the second quarter and the first half of fiscal 2005. A manufacturer of engineered welded blanks, first operation blanks, complex stampings and modular assemblies for the automotive and heavy truck industries, Shiloh reported sales of $166.8 million for the second quarter ended April 30, 2005, down 7.2% year on year. Net income for the second quarter was $8.5 million, a slight increase from the previous year’s $8.4 million. Overall, first-half sales for 2005 were $318.3 million, down from $320.7 million during the previous year's corresponding fiscal period. Despite the reduced sales volume, net income for the first half of 2005 is up $3.2 million year on year, to $13.2 million.
