Shijiazhuang Steel’s finished steel exports up 16 percent in Q1

Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group has announced that in the first three months of this year its subsidiary Shijiazhuang Iron and Steel Co. exported 82,000 mt of finished steel, up 16 percent year on year.
 
In the given period, Shijiazhuang Steel’s finished steel export volume to the Middle East region increased by 15 percent compared to the same period of last year due to two new customers in the region.
 
Meanwhile, on March 17, Handan Iron and Steel Co. (Hansteel), another Hebei Steel Group subsidiary, successfully produced 500 mt of G350 high-strength color-coated steel sheet for an Indian export order.
