Shanghai invests RMB 190 billion in new projects in H1

Ying Yong, mayor of Shanghai, stated on July 22 that Shanghai completed a total investment of RMB 190.0 billion ($27.7 billion) in 202 newly-started projects in the first half of the current year, while a further 220 new projects will be started in the second half of the year, with a planned total investment of RMB 200.0 billion ($29.1 billion).

The mayor also stated that Shanghai’s economic performance was generally stable and in line with previous expectations, adding that he is confident that Shanghai will meet its GDP growth target of 6.0-6.5 percent for 2019.
