Shagang to supply 17,000 mt of pipes for Tanzanian natural gas project

Shagang Jinzhou Pipeline Co., a subsidiary of Jiangsu-based Chinese steelmaker Shagang Group, has won a tender to supply over 17,000 mt of steel pipes for a natural gas plant and pipeline project in Tanzania. This follows a large export order for over 10,000 mt of steel pipes to Venezuela which Shagang Jinzhou Pipeline Co. completed earlier this year.The steel pipes for the Tanzanian project, in line with AP15L standard, will include four specifications and have a total length of 52.3 km. The company currently produces 1 km of steel pipes every day.
