Shagang releases ex-factory prices for April

On April 1, Jiangsu Province-based Shagang announced unchanged ex-factory prices for April for a number of its products. The details are as follows:

1. Rebar prices have remained unchanged from late March levels. Thus, the price of 14-25 mm diameter HRB335 is still at RMB 3,330/mt ($431/mt).

2. Wire rod prices have likewise remained constant. As a result, the price of 6.5 mm Q235 is at RMB 3,430/mt ($444/mt).

3. HR coils prices have not seen any change from March levels. Therefore, the price of 2.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C SPHC is still at RMB 4,920/mt ($636/mt); while that of 2.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C SS400 is at RMB 4,450/mt ($576/mt); finally, the price of 5.75 mm x 1,500 mm x C SS400 is at RMB 4,280/mt ($554/mt).

All the above prices include 17 percent VAT. The long products prices are effective from April 1 to April 10, 2007, while the HR coil prices are in effect for the whole of April.
