Shagang Group achieves mass production of K55-Cr oil casing pipe

Chinese steel producer Shagang Group has announced that it has successfully developed mass production of K55-Cr oil casing pipe and has supplied 2,000 mt of the product to the Philippines. Shagang has thus become the first mass producer of high grade oil casing pipe in China.
 
Shagang said the achievement is expected to boost its market competitiveness. The product in question is in specifications of 6.85-7.85 mm x 1,320 mm/1,120 mm, while it has excellent tensile strength and a low carbon content and yield ratio.
