SGIS Songshan sees sharp rise in net profit in H1

Guangdong Province-based Chinese steel rolling and processing company SGIS Songshan Co., an affiliate of Guangdong-based Shaoguan Iron and Steel Co. (Shaogang), has announced that in the first half of the current year it registered an operating revenue of RMB 12.12 billion ($1.77 billion), while achieving a net profit of RMB 1.757 billion ($0.26 billion) in the given period, up 162.69 percent compared to the net profit of RMB 669 million recorded in the same period of the previous year.
