SGIS plans to produce 7.0 million mt of crude steel in 2019

Guangdong Province-based Chinese steel rolling and processing company SGIS Songshan Co., an affiliate of Guangdong-based Shaoguan Iron and Steel Co. (Shaogang), has announced that in the current year it plans to produce 6.2 million mt of pig iron, 7.0 million mt of crude steel and 6.75 million mt of finished steel.

Meanwhile, SGIS stated that its monthly orders are at sufficient levels of around 550,000 mt per month, while it has inventories of around 80,000 mt, which is the normal inventory level. 

In 2017, SGIS produced 6.30 million mt of pig iron, 6.87 million mt of crude steel and 6.65 million mt of finished steel. In 2018, it produced 5.77 million mt of pig iron, 6.61 million mt of crude steel and 6.36 million mt of finished steel.
