The Russian steel producer Severstal Russian Steel (Severstal) has announced that in the first half of 2009 its subsidiaries delivered more than 400,000 mt of steel products for Russia's fuel and power sector companies, including Gazprom, Burgaz, TNK-VR, Udmurtneft, Slavneft, Surgutneftegas, Gazpromneft, LUKOIL, Bashneft and others.
Accordingly, a quarter of the amount in question was delivered by Severstal's subsidiary Izhorsky Pipe Plant, in the form of large diameter pipes for the construction of trunk pipelines in Russia and abroad.
In H1, Izhorsky Pipe Plant's main strip supplier, the third flat rolling shop of Severstal Cherepovets, Severstal's main Russian steel producing facility, was also working on the orders of other LD pipe producers, such as OMK's Vyksa Steel Works and TMK's Volzhsky Pipe Plant.
During the period in question, Severstal-Invest Trade House delivered about 12,000 mt of strips produced at Severstal Cherepovets to domestic energy sector companies, and about 5,000 mt of cold rolled coils to Volzhsky Pipe Plant.
