Severstal to reconstruct coke battery No.7

The Russian steelmaker Severstal has announced plans to reconstruct its coke battery No.7. The battery, which has been in operation since 1972 and has an annual production capacity of 700,000 metric tons, will be fully modernized. Currently, Severstal is concluding the technical part of a tender for supply of the necessary equipment. The coke battery No.7 is expected to be put back into operation in the middle of 2010.
