Russian steelmaker Severstal has announced that in 2017 it supplied about 180,000 mt of rolled steel to manufacturers of household appliances and industrial packaging in Russia, increasing by 10 percent compared to 2016.

According to the company, the growth in sales to Russian household appliance and industrial packaging manufacturers is due to the increase in the volume of supplies, the expansion of the customer base and the increase in steel consumption among those customers where Severstal is the main supplier.

Vadim Germanov, general director of the Severstal Russian Steel division, stated that last year deliveries to Russian manufacturers of household appliances increased by 33 percent or 58,000 mt year on year and added that, with the launch of the steel coating shop No. 3, Severstal will be able to significantly expand the product line for these customers.
