Severstal increases shipments to Russian engineering firms in 2017

Russian steelmaker Severstal has announced that in 2017 it increased its steel product shipments to Russian engineering companies by seven percent year on year to 504,000 mt compared to 2016.

The company stated that this increase was primarily due to the growth of steel consumption in a number of segments, in particular, railroad, transport and agricultural machinery construction, and added that, to meet the growing demand of customers and the high demands of end-users, it constantly works to improve the quality of products throughout the entire process chain.
