Russian steelmaker Severstal, one of the world's leading steel and steel-related mining companies, has announced that its Cherepovets Steel Mill increased its supplies to Russian steel pipe companies by 0.116 million mt or nine percent year on year in the January-September period this year. A total of 1.3 million mt of rolled steel was delivered by the company to steel pipe manufacturers in Russia in the given period.

The increase was primarily due to an increase in the supply to producers of medium and small-diameter pipes, which are used mainly in construction.
