The Russian pipe producer Vyksa Steel Works (Vyksa)- a part of United Metallurgical Company (OMK)- has concluded an agreement with the Netherlands-based Selmers Technology B.V on the design, construction and installation of two new anticorrosive coating lines for pipes with diameter up to 1420 mm. The equipment worth €17 million will be supplied to Vyksa in May-June 2007 and put into operation in October 2007. The designed capacity of the new lines is 950,000 mt a year. In addition, Vyksa inked an agreement with the Netherlands-based Bauhuis International B.V on the supply of the necessary equipment for the reconstruction of its internal coating line for large diameter pipe. The contract worth €56 million is intended to raise the production capacity of the line from the current 570,000 mt to 950,000 mt of pipes a year.
