Seamless pipe reviews of AD measures by EU Commission

The Defence Committee of the EU seamless tubes producers have requested the current anti-dumping duty measures on seamless pipe imports from Poland, Russia, the Czech Republic, Romania and Slovakia to be subject to expiry and interim reviews by the EU Commission. The main reason that the Committee brings forth is the increase in the market share possession of the seamless pipe imports in the EU, causing damage to the community producers both in terms of volumes and prices. Furthermore, the undertakings, in the form of a price agreement up to a volume threshold followed by a duty, may have contributed to the lack of efficiency of the measures, according to the Defence Committee.
